Parker Chomerics has a range of seals made of conductive elastomers with dual functionality. Where the standard seals provide either an environmental seal against moisture, dust and dirt or provide an electrically conductive seal, Parker Chomerics has accommodated both functions in one seal.
These flexible seals are used for opening doors, hatches etc. The field of application is often defense equipment in military vehicles, -ships and -aircrafts and for aerospace. But also critical filling openings within industrial applications are fitted with these seals.
The elastomers are provided with a conductive and non-conductive element which are cured in parallel and thus achieve the best sealing with a low closing force. There are several versions available in corrosion-resistant and fire-resistant qualities, providing EMI / EMP protection and airtight seal.
Chomerics offers the co-extruded seals in numerous standard versions and in customer-specific shapes with low volumes.
