Display filters for medical devices have challenging characteristics, including EMC shielding, chemical resistance, as well as maximum readability. PSC has various solutions for this.
- Polycarbonate with indium-tin oxide coating:
robust solution, small color difference possible, almost no noticeable loss in transparency - Optical-grade acrylic with a cast steel or copper mesh:
best optical properties, highest EMC shielding degree, fully UV resistant, but an slightly expensive solution
In addition to these options, there are also solutions in which a mesh is laminated between two plastic sheets. The disadvantage of this is that the thickness of the mesh has to be smoothed out with a layer, which does not benefit the transparency. Any damage is visible, which is somewhat dictated by the lamination manufacturing process.
PSC is a Danish specialist of high-end optical display filters and additional windows. Deliveries of cast-in mesh and coated plastic can continue unabated, unlike many laminated EMC filter windows.
