Leadertech mesh gaskets are knitted fine mesh metal mesh gaskets that are used to provide EMI protection. This means that component transitions and connections must be electrically coupled to the chassis.

The most common wire materials:

• Monel, a nickel-copper alloy:
  Most commonly used, it offers excellent EMI/RFI protection, high resistance to oxidation combined with high tensile strength and resilience.
• SnCuFe, tinned-plated copper-clad steel:
  Provides the best shielding at lower frequencies, especially with respect to magnetic fields.
• Aluminum:
  Only used when the mating surfaces are also made of aluminum.

The gaskets can be supplied in different shapes and sizes. It offers lasting resilience and flexible mounting options. It provides powerful EMI shielding through uniform contact with minimal compression force.

The applications include: transitions at antennas, under chassis connectors, under gland rings and grounding rings.
